Sanding

Alpha Flooring uses a Polivac Rotary Suction Sander which reduces dust emission to a minimum.

Floor sanding usually involves three stages;

Preparation: All nails, staples or tacks that protrude above the boards are punched down or removed.  Some types of adhesives which have been used to secure previous coverings may also need to be removed.

Sanding: Removes the top surfaces of a wooden floor. A variety of floor materials can be sanded, including timber, cork, particleboard, and sometimes parquet.

Coating: Adds a protective sealant to the floor.
